If a spa persistently operates its low-speed filtration cycle continuously or experiences irregular temperature spikes or overheating, the issue might stem from an incorrect configuration in the settings due to the filtration duration is set excessively high, factors such as weather conditions and spa usage can lead to overheating, temperature inconsistencies, and a shortened filter lifespan.
Adjusting the filtration interval to a reasonable setting helps maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
- By default, all of our hot tubs featuring the TP500s or the now-discontinued TP600 topside controls are programmed with a factory filtration cycle duration of 2 hours and the heating mode set to (R) Ready mode.
- The spa operates its filtration cycles based on the configured filtration (FLTR) interval, scheduled for every 12-hour period (half a day). The recommended setting is 2:00 hours per 12-hour interval, ensuring the water is filtered by running the pump at low speed for a total of 4 hours over a 24-hour period, as needed.
- The total number of filtration hours over a 24-hour period will vary depending on the duration set for each 12-hour interval. Adjusting the interval duration will directly impact how long the spa runs its low-speed pump for filtration within a day.
- Verify & confirm if the spa FLTR (Filtration cycle) setting is set to 2:00 hours and that the Heating Mode is set to (R) Ready Mode*
