Adjusting the filtration interval/duration to a reasonable setting helps maintain optimal performance and efficiency.

  • The spa operates its filtration cycles based on the configured filtration (FLTR) interval, scheduled for every 12-hour period (half a day). The recommended setting is 4:00 hours per 12-hour interval, ensuring the water is filtered by running the pump at low speed for a total of 8 hours over a 24-hour period, as needed.

  • The total number of filtration hours over a 24-hour period will vary depending on the duration set for each 12-hour interval. Adjusting the interval duration will directly impact how long the spa runs its low-speed pump for filtration within a day.

  • Setting the heating mode to Rest Mode will also impact when the heater activates, as it will only heat during scheduled filter cycles. For more information regarding the Filtration settings see our article link here - Balboa TP800 Topside - Setting Heating Modes

To set the Spa to the desired filtration duration, follow the instructions below.

The Default setting for the filtration is 4:00 hours*

It is important to replace the filters with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) every 3-4 month to keep optimal operation of your spa -- The required filters can be purchased through our website link here: What filter do I need? – Canadian Spa Company
