The K300 Topside on the Gander and Muskoka Spas can be programmed into Economy Mode. This heating mode is specially useful during summer time when ambient temperatures are high or when the tub won't be used for a prolonged period of time. However, it is not recommended during the winter time when temperatures are below freezing since under this mode, the tub will only heat up up to within 20 degrees of the set temperature for a set period of time during the day.

To set the tub into Economy Mode watch a video HERE or follow the directions below.

1-Press and hold the Lights button for about 5 seconds to enter into the Menu.

2-Once you see the time displayed in the topside, keep pressing the lights button few more times until you see "EP".

3-EP0 means the Economy Mode is OFF. To enable Economy Mode, use the temperature up button to move it to EP1.

4-Pressing the lights button one more time will allow you to set the time of the day in which the Economy Mode will start to run ("ES" stands for Economy Start). Using the temperature up/down buttons, select the time of the day (AM/PM) in which the Economy mode will start.

5-Press the lights button again to set the duration of the Economy mode ("Ed" stands for Economy Duration). Using the temperature up/down buttons, select the number of hours you would like the tub remains under Economy Mode.

6-Press the lights button 2 times to go back to main display. The Economy Mode has been set up and when is time for the tub to enter into Economy Mode according to the settings saved, the Tub will display "Eco". The display will alternate between the current time, current water's temperature and the "Eco" sign. During the time range the tub has been set to run under Economy Mode, the heat light may not be ON as the tub would only heat up to within 20 degrees of the set temperature.

7-To turn Economy Mode OFF, press and hold the lights button for 5 seconds to enter into the Menu. Once inside the Menu options, press the lights button a few more times until EP1 is displayed. Use the temperature up/down buttons to set it to EP0 and press the lights button few more times to return to main screen. The "Eco" sign should not longer show up.
