If you open the filter housing lid of your V2 PCU and remove the filter, you will notice a white skimmer that seats at the bottom of the housing. This grate has been designed to catch minor debris before they get into your Spa. As shown in the pictures below, the skimmer goes under the filter with the handle touching the bottom of the filter.

As you would do with the filter, the skimmer must be removed and rinsed with fresh water regularily. Depending on the use of the tub, we recommend to clean it at least once a week to ensure it remains as clean as possible. The example below shows debris catched on the grate.
