If the Jet Massage function is activating on its own, this is a normal occurrence.
A new Automatic Moisture Protection feature has been added to the Portable Control Units which will cause the jets to activate for approximately 90 seconds every 24 hours.
This is to purge any condensation that may have formed in the blower port, prevent build-up within the pipes and increase the lifespan of the PCU.
Do not worry about the lid being damaged as the clips are strong enough to hold it in place.
The thermal blanket within the spa may bunch up, however you can simply reposition it after the cycle has ended.
