This is an instructional guide showing how to replace a pump on an acrylic spa.
- Phillips CH 3 Screwdriver
- 51/8" (13mm) Wrench (spanner head)
- Oil filter wrench (available at major hardware retailers)
- Work gloves for grip (optional
IMPORTANT: BEFORE YOU START, ENSURE TO SWITCH OFF ELECTRICAL SUPPLY BY DISCONNECTING THE PLUG AT THE SOCKET OR ISOLATION SWITCH.

STEP 1 - Unscrew the side panels to access the pump on the side with the air vent and MP3 Player housing:
STEP 2 - Remove the panel strips and side panels (on the side of the Topside control):
STEP 3 - Uncouple the power switch to the MP3 player allowing you to remove the panel away from the spa and gain access to the pump:
STEP 4 - Close off both slice valves to isolate water and prevent it from flowing:
STEP 5 - Open the Control pack by unscrewing the cover using a Phillips screwdriver:
STEP 6 - Remove clamp to wire - unplug pump plug from circuit board (ensure cable ties are removed from plumbing):
STEP 7 - Disconnect the ground wire from the pump (ensure that the wire is moved safely away from pump area):
STEP 8 - Remove all 4 nuts from the pump base using a 51/8”(13mm) wrench:
STEP 9 - Undo the pump union joints using an oil flter wrench:
STEP 10 - Lift the pump off of the 4-screw pump base and replace it with the NEW pump while ensuring the screw heads are aligned with pump holes:
STEP 11 - To re-assemble, simply reverse the above sequence for installation of the new pump.
